🎆 Stars, Stripes & Small-Town Delights: Celebrate the Fourth of July in Margaretville!

If you’re looking for that picture-perfect Fourth of July experience—think flags fluttering in the breeze, kids with ice cream-sticky fingers, and fireworks lighting up the Catskill sky—then Margaretville is where you need to be this summer.

From July 1st through July 5th, 2025, our charming mountain town transforms into a hub of classic American fun, all centered around the beloved Field Days Carnival, proudly hosted by the Margaretville Fire Department. These community legends not only serve and protect—they also know how to throw one heck of a celebration.

🎡 Field Days Carnival: July 1–5

Carnival Schedule & Events:

Tuesday, July 1

  • Rides open at 6 PM
  • Pay One Price wristbands: 6–10 PM – $25

Wednesday, July 2

  • Rides open at 6 PM
  • Pay One Price wristbands: 6–10 PM – $25

Thursday, July 3

  • Rides open at 6 PM
  • Pay One Price wristbands: 6–10 PM – $25
  • Car Show at 6 PM

Independence Day, Friday, July 4

  • Rides open 1–11 PM
  • Pay One Price wristbands: 1–11 PM – $30
  • Chicken BBQ: Noon until sold out
  • Live broadcast from WRIP Radio: 11 AM–3 PM
  • Tastings: Rockland Cider Works & Calico Outlaw Brewery, 6–10 PM
  • Live Band – 90 Proof: 7–10 PM
  • Giant Fireworks: 9:30 PM

Saturday, July 5

  • Chicken BBQ: Noon until sold out
  • Pay One Price wristbands: 1–11 PM – $30
  • Beer Tastings: Catskill Brewery & Catskill Tap & Ladder Co., 6–10 PM
  • Live Band – The Tom Prettys: 7–10 PM
  • Giant Fireworks: 9:30 PM
  • George Hendricks, Jr. Memorial Scholarship Fund Raffle Drawing following the fireworks
